Recruiter Reply Assistant – Privacy Policy

Recruiter Reply Assistant ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that drafts replies to recruiter messages on LinkedIn using the user's own reply template and the user's own Anthropic Claude API key. This policy explains what data the extension handles and why.

Data the extension handles

• Conversation content: When you click "AI Reply" or "Reply to next unread", the extension reads up to the last 15 messages (sender names and message text) of the conversation you have open on linkedin.com.
• Settings: Your Claude API key, your name, your chosen model and your reply template.

How the data is used

• Conversation content is used only to generate a reply draft at the moment you request it.
• The extension inserts the draft into the LinkedIn message box. It never sends messages on your behalf; you review and send every message yourself.

Who the data is shared with

• Anthropic, PBC (api.anthropic.com): conversation content and your template are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to Anthropic's Claude API, using your own API key, solely to generate the draft. Anthropic's handling of API data is described in Anthropic's own privacy policy and commercial terms.
• No other party. The extension's developer does not operate a server and never receives your messages, API key or settings.

Storage

Your settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's extension storage. Conversation content is not stored by the extension after the draft is generated. Uninstalling the extension removes its stored settings.

What the extension does not do

• No analytics, tracking, advertising or data sales.
• No collection of browsing history or activity on sites other than the LinkedIn conversation you choose to draft a reply for.
• No use or transfer of data for purposes unrelated to drafting replies, for creditworthiness or lending, or for personalized advertising.

The use of information received from LinkedIn pages adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be disclosed in the extension before they take effect.
